Morning: Clinical Observation (Hospital Outpatient Clinics)

Morning sessions take place in real hospital outpatient clinics, where participants observe senior professors conducting their routine clinical practice. This is not a simulated or teaching-only environment, but part of the hospital’s regular patient care.

Clinical observation is organised in small groups of up to four participants, with each group assigned to one professor per day, allowing continuity and depth of observation.

Participants should be prepared for busy and intensive mornings. In a typical outpatient session, a professor may see approximately 50–70 patients in one morning.

Clinical observation focuses on case intake and pattern differentiation; treatment decision-making and point selection; real-time clinical adjustments; and workflow efficiency in high-volume clinical settings.

Afternoon: Thematic & Advanced Technique Sessions

Afternoon sessions focus on thematic teaching and advanced practical techniques, designed to consolidate and contextualise morning observations. Content is customised according to group needs and emphasises direct clinical applicability.

Participants are divided into small groups of up to four people. Each group follows one professor per day, allowing focused observation of diagnostic reasoning, treatment principles, point selection, and clinical workflow.

Participants will not independently treat patients in hospital clinics. The programme focuses on observation, guided learning, and supervised demonstration-based practical teaching sessions, including scalp acupuncture, auricular acupuncture, cosmetic acupuncture, and related techniques.
